Abstract

A waterproof cover for a rotary clothes line is disclosed which can be permanently or temporarily attached to the clothes line and has a central drainage aperture. For wind assisted ventilation, the cover can be made from a series of overlapping horizontal strips. The cover can be larger than the clothes line and attached to it by extension rods so that it stands proud of the clothes line. An optional protective skirt can also be provided which can be made of a solid waterproof material or of a fine mesh or of a series of strips draped vertically.
