Abstract
A device to prevent ladders from slipping has holders 2 for ladder legs, adjustably attached at 3 to base board 1, which has rubber ribs 4 underneath for use on hard surfaces such as concrete, and which board 1 can be fitted into holder 5 having spikes 6 underneath for use on soft surfaces, e.g. lawns
Description
2359585 1 LADDER GRIP The invention relates to a ladder grip which can be
used with ladders which often extend, and be used on any service.
Such ladders like a extended ladder's can be high, and if not well anchored can slip causing injury to the user.
An object of this invention is provided to keep the ladders firmly in position, what ever the surface.
Accordingly, this invention has two boxed, type slots for the ladder leg's to fit tight into. This invention has two boxed, type slot's for the ladder leg's to fit tight into. This invention has two types of surface grip. One to be used on solid surfaces, like concrete, and one to be used on a soft surface, like lawn's. The solid surface grip is to be used on it's own. Butwhen using the soft grip holder, it must be used with the solid grip holder because the solid grip holder has the two ladder leg slots attached to it. The solid grip holder fits tightly into the soft grip holder.
Preferably the ladder grip holder is made of stainless steel and hard plastic to prevent corrosion.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 shows the ladder grip in the two separate piece's before they slot together.
Figure 2 show's a heavy coated rubber bottom with ridge's in.
Figure 3 show's five spike's.
As shown in figure 1, The ladder grip holder 1 fits inside 5 to become one object when used on soft surface's. The solid surface holder 1 is to be used on it's own when used on solid surfaces. The solid surface holder 1 is rubber coated with ridge's underneath 4 for grip. The solid surface holder 1 comprises of, two ladder leg slots 2 adjustment holes 3.
2 The soft surface holder 5 comprises of spikes 6 one at each corner and one in the middle. Figure 2 show's the solid surface holder 1 underneath to show the rubber coated ridge's 4. Figure 3 shows the soft surface holder 5 underneath to show the ground spikes 6.
