Abstract

Clamps to provide an anchorage on a hostile surface, in particular concrete posts. Wire mesh or netting can be tied to the clamps; holes (5) are provided in the clamps to facilitate this method. Alternatively the clamps can be used to hold a piece of timber against the facing side of a post in order to present a workable surface. A handle-like bracket (4) is incorporated in each clamp to provide a fixing for plant canes, hanging baskets, garden lamps etc. As shown the clamp does not extend completely around the post but in another embodiment a form of encircling clamp is disclosed.

Description

2359329 CONCRETE POST CLAMPS.
Gardeners attempting to hide or cover fencing use wire or string to provide support for plants and foliage. Concrete posts present a difficulty, tying something to them is not always practicable and they resist or defy other fixings. My designs are for clamps to be used on concrete posts, ledges and other projections where it is difficult to drill. nail or glue. They are intended for domestic use, mainly in gardens.
2 CONCRETE POST CLAMPS.
TYPE A.
Clamp for channelled post where fencing panels occupy most of the surface area. These clamps will hold wooden stakes against a concrete post, the bracket 4 is for hanging baskets etc. Drilled holes 5 are for wire netting, string or similar.
TYPE B. This clamp has the same features as Type A but embraces a post when all sides are accessible.
TYPE C.
Clamp designed to enable a concrete stud to be utilised as a ledge support for plant baskets etc.

  1. CLAIM.
    Concrete Post Clam s.
    Clamp(s) fitting for garden fencing intended mainly to be used on concrete posts in order to provide fixing for wooden stakes and/or wire netting. The clamp(s) is fitted with a bracket 4, which could give support to garden furniture and decoration such as lamps, hanging baskets etc.
