Abstract

A vessel has an attachment device mounted on the underside of its hull or its keel, wherein if the vessel should capsize the crew of the vessel can attach themselves to, or hold on to said attachment device to prevent themselves from becoming separated from the vessel. The attachment device may be formed from stainless steel, aluminium or plastic, with holes or a captivated pin to allow the attachment of a quick release clip. More than one device may be provided on a single vessel with each device being secured within a recess to prevent it from becoming damaged.
