Abstract

A toothbrush comprises an orbital brush head, ie. having bristles protruding from all sides, a flexible neck region between the brush head and handle, and a rubber grip disposed upon said handle. The toothbrush is intended for use by a child where the orbital head and flexible neck allows for insertion of the brush into the mouth at various angles and the rubber grip disposed upon the handle prevents the brush from slipping in the users hand.

1. General Description of the Product
The product being considered, as conceived by Nicholas Arundel, is The Chad's EasyBrush. The concept calls for: the manufacture and distribution of a toothbrush specifically designed for use by young children.
To accornplish this, The Chad's Easy-Brush would be configured as shown in the accompanying illustration The device would resemble a 0 - conventional toothbrush with a set of soft, nylon fibre The Child's Easy- Brush: bristles positioned on one end. However, the significant C7 A toothbrush specifically point of differentiation would be the arrangement of designed for use by young these bristles in a circular array around the brush head L_ children. rather than the straight row of bristles that typically runs I along the nd of a toothbrush. The head section of the brush would be 32 mm Ion-, the handle 0 0 would be a total of 110 mm long with a rubber grip covering the handle for a length of 69 mm, and the head and handle would be joined by a flexible neck 5 mm wide.
With this configuration, The Child's Easy-Brush would serve as a functional device for 0 use by young children who are just starting to learn good dental care practices including daily 0 r) 0 brushing. The unique positioning of the bristles would enable the chAd to place the brush into his or her mouth from any angle and still accomplish an effective job of cleaning his or her teeth. This bristle design would also enable the brush to clean both the top and bottom teeth at the same time. The soft fabrication of the bristles and incorporation of a flexible neck between the head and handle would assure that the child's gums and mouth would not be irritated. The placement of a rubber grip on the handle would prevent the brush from sUpping out of the child's hand while in use.
Overall, then, this specially designed brush would enable young children to brush their teeth in an easier yet fully effective manner, thereby providing both immediate returns in terms of improved dental hygiene while also helping the child develop good dental care practices that 0 11 should carry over into adulthood.

Claims (1)

1. A Toothbrush with an orbital brush head, the soft fabrication of the bristles and flexible neck between the head and handle, will enable the brush to be placed into the mouth firom. any angle and will assure the gums and mouth will not be irritated, the rubber grip on the handle will prevent the brush from slipping while in use.
