Abstract

The invention relates to a water-based emulsion paint which has been fragranced with a perfume. The perfumes may be synthetic or may be a blend of essential oils. The latter one is incorporated in the paint to give aromatherapeutic appeal.

Description

FRAGRANCED PAIN (1) The invention relates to water based emulsion paint being fragrance with a perfume.
The perfume is a compound (i. e. in concentrate form) and added to the standard formulation of water based emulsion.
The fragrances which are available for the paint are limitless.
Emulsion paint is well known throughout the world, however, the smell can sometimes be slightly overpowering if used in a small room and what I have acheived is to, firstly, make the paint be pleasing to work with by masking some of the active ingredients within the formula. Secondly by incorporating some essential oils I am able to add a whole new dimension to painting the home by"AROMATHERAPY'.
Also by the manner of my testing, it is possible to agitate the surface after the paint has dried to create a subtle lingering effect of that paticular fragrance within the room.
The emulsion paint will be of a standard formula and incorporating the perfume oils at a paticular doseage level. The container will be of a standard P. V. C.
As this paticular invention cannot be drawn very easily I will explain my objective in that I am looking to patent the idea of fragrancing water based emulsion paint with perfume compound and essential oils.

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS 1. Fragranced paint masks the inherent odours that are within the formulation of water based paint.
  2. 2. Fragranced paint as in claim 1 sets the ambience for any chosen room or areas.
  3. 3. A fragranced paint as in claim 1 or claim 2 when dry can be gently rubbed to create a subtle but lingering effect of that paticular fragrance within the room or areas.
  4. 4. A fragranced paint as in any of the preceeding claims can be individually prepared or alternatively can be pre-manufactured.
  5. 5. Using essential oils within the make-up of the fragrance compound it is possible to classify the product as an aromatherapy paint, which has all the benefiting aspects associated with aromatherapy.
