Abstract

A packaging unit, such as a mailing pack, comprises a foldable sheet having a laminate of paper honeycomb or like material having an internal recess to receive the article to be packaged.

Description

MAILING PACK MP1.
The patent application applies to a package for the protection of an article or articles.
It is intended that it be particularly suitable for mailing data storage and photographs.
Each package will use the same material for its construction-paper honeycomb or the like laminate.
Below is an annotated sketch to show the principle; The hinge of the product shall be manufactured by cutting the material on the opposite side to the embossed sections to a depth less thick than the material used. This will create an integral hinge when the material is folded closed.
This creates a recess in the folded package that will hold an article.

  1. CLAIMS 1. A method of packaging, comprising locating an article within a recess inside a folded packaging unit comprising a paper honeycomb or the like laminate.
  2. 2. A packaging unit comprising a folded sheet or area of paper honeycomb or the like laminate and having an inside recess to receive an article to be packaged.
