Abstract
The apparatus includes a sphere and a conduit which are made of plastic and moulded together. The sphere is hollow, and being made of plastic will expand and contract as the fluid within the apparatus expands due to exposure to low temperatures, so that rupture of the conduit is avoided.
Description
APPARATS TO ALLOW EXPANSION WITHIN A CONDUIT.
This invention relates to an inline expansion sphere, to allow expansion of fluid within a conduit, when the fluid is exposed to low temperature. The apparatus will be made of plastic with the hollow sphere and conduit moulded together.
Conventionally when fluid within a conduit becomes low in temperature expansion of the fluid or the pressure generated by the fluid can rupture the conduit.
The reason for invention of this apparatus is to reduce the amount of ruptured conduit, by allowing the fluid or pressure within the conduit to expand within the expansion sphere. Thus relieving the pressure within the conduit.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
Figure 1. Shows the apparatus with expansion sphere and moulded conduit.
Figure 2. Shows a cross section of sphere and conduit through"A".
Figure 3. Shows end view.
Referring to the drawing"Apparatus to allow expansion within a conduit", comprises a sphere moulded to a conduit.

- CLAIM This invention relates to an inline expansion sphere to allow expansion of fluid or pressure generated by the expansion of fluid when exposed to low temperatures. The reason for invention of this apparatus is to reduce the amount of ruptured conduit by allowing the fluid, or pressure generated by the fluid when exposed to low temperatures, to expand the sphere. Thus relieving the pressure in the conduit. At present, if a fluid within a conduit is exposed to low temperatures the conduit may rupture, due to expansion of the fluid or pressure generated by the expansion. The APPARATUS TO ALLOW EXPANSION WITHIN A CONDUIT, allows that fluid or pressure generated by the fluid to expand the sphere and not rupture the conduit.
