Abstract

A cryogenic fluid piping system (fig.2) is provided with two or more coupled pipe spools, each spool having an inner (16) and outer (12) pipe, the inner for carrying cryogenic fluid. The pipe spools are configured with a bayonet connection (22,42) to allow expansion and contraction of the system without failure. A leak control device (24) and pressure relief device (52) are included to protect the system from catastrophic failure in the event of a cryogenic fluid leak from the inner pipe.
