Latches, sliding.-The operating lever e of a latch or bolt fastening ior fanlights &c. is mounted on a pivot m between lugs l<2> projecting from a tongue l<1> of a stamping l secured to the latch casing a. The latch head c has two stamping secured to it, one d at the front through which the operating lever e projects and which is bent to contact the front of the case and one g at the back having a bent-over lug g<1> to contact the back of the case and two limbs h each carrying a spring i. The ends of the limbs h are guided in holes in lugs k<1> on a stamping k. The lugs l<2> may also act as guides for the stamping d on the latch.
