Abstract

233,892. French, C. F. May 22, 1924. Trouser-presses; coat-hangers.-In lightweight trouser-presses which have no upstanding screws or other projections and which may be carried in a suit case, the press boards A - - D are provided with pairs of metal straps 1, 2 which are hinged together at one end by metal links 3 and similar links 7 are at the other end attached to the lower straps 2 to connect the levers 6. The levers 6, which act as pressure levers, are maintained in pressing position by a sliding keeper 10. The limbs pass through elongated holes in the levers 6 and in the metal straps 1, 2 which allows of the top press boards being moved longitudinally to incline the limbs and bring the press boards closer together. The central parts 13 of the links are enclosed in sheet metal to prevent interlocking. The press may be suspended by straps which serve a a coat hanger.
