Abstract
233,717. Rigollet, L., and Zoppini, S. May 8, 1924, [Convention date]. Bracelets, necklaces, &c.-The axis about which successive links of a bracelet. necklet, or like article of jewellery. comprising hinged links having outer ornamental faces, is arranged to be flush with. and on the line of junction of. the outer face of the links, so that, as the links flex around the arm &c. no spaces between the links are visible. Fig. 5 shows one method of connecting successive links in which plates 1, 2 having corresponding concentric ribs and recesses with their centre of curvature at the point p mentioned, are mounted for sliding engagement between lugs h secured to the front face a of the links, one plate being soldered to one link and the other plate to the other link. An alternative form of connection is shown in Fig. 6, where a T-shaped piece i has segments k on the arms sliding in corresponding slots j in the adjacent ends of lugs h on successive links. In the form shown in Fig. 7, a tube n secured between lugs h on one link slides over a correspondingly-shaped wire o secured between lugs h of an adjacent link. In each case means are provided to limit the angle to which the links may be separated.
