Abstract

An Educational Appliance, particularly for use in teaching connections between characters with the interaction of symbols, constructed of several sequential elements, arranged in 3 sections, having constrained positions and containing part symbols (FIG 2, symbols 1, 2 and 3), which when manipulated, perhaps in a hand held position, co-operate and interact with sequential sections (FIG 2 sections 1,2 and 3). There is a pivoting action sequential interaction between sections 2 and 3. Closure of the Educational Appliance is achieved by reverse pivoting of section 1 on to section 2 on the last turn of section 3.

Description

2336461 EDUCATIONAL LEARNING AID This invention relates to an educational
learning aid.
Educational Learning Aids are an essential remedial part of the learning process. However a remedial aid in a set format in a connectable manner, in conjunction with times tables is not available.
A specific embodiment of the invention win now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:- FIGURE 1 shows the closed position ofthe invention.
FIGURE 2 shows the open position of the invention.
In reference to the drawing known as F1Sure 1, the Learning Aid is in the closed position, only indicating the appropriate numeral sequ be leamt, Section 1 containing symbol 1, has no interaction at this point as connection 112 with connection 1 being in an opposite fold position to connection 2.
nl L1 In reference to the drawing known as Fig= 2, the Learning Aid is viewed in the open position. Connection 1 has opened allowing Section 2, containing symbol 2 to interact with symbol 1. Section 2 also contains the second portion of the numeral sequence to be learnt and part of symbol 3, which when connection 2 is in the open position reveals Section 3, which contains the second part of symbol 3 and the remairffi numeral in the sequence to be learnt. Hence the cooperation and collaboration of all sections, symbols and connections is complete.
This process will then be repeated, allowing the system to continue in the correct order, which at no point has any margin for error.
By the turn of Section 3, upwards to reveal its ffip side, containing a repeat of symbol 2 and the following numeral in the sequence, it is now in this position known as Section 2, uncovering a new Section 3, containing the second part of symbol 3 and the numeral to complete the sequence. Section 3 has altogether 12 parts in seq aM on each flip of Section 3, changing into Section 2, it completes a sequence and provides an answer.
