Abstract

A hovering craft, has a chassis 2 and a body (1, fig 1) which is secured to the chassis 2. The craft has ducted fans 4 and 5 to allow it hover, these fans being driven by engine 6. The craft is propelled by a ducted fan 3. Landing skis 7 are provided.

Description

This invention relates to a hovering craft Hover craft are well known vehicles usually comprising of a metal frame upon which engines and a shell are mounted, under which a skirt is fixed creating a pocket of air which in turn creates lift. There is also a jet plane which takes off and lands using downward facing jet engines (Harrier jump-jet).
According to the present invention there is provided a hovering craft comprising a chassis frame,a body shell in the form of a futureistic helicopter shell means for permenantly securing the body shell onto the frame and chassis, a stand for the craft to takes off and on, means for hovering and being propelled along by the use of four relatively large ducted fans.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be desc -ribed by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the side view of the whole craft.
Figure 2 shows the side view of the craft without its shell.
Figure 3 shows the top view of the craft without its shell.
Referring to the drawing the craft comprises a chassis frame 2 and an outer shell 1 in the form of a helicopter body permenantly secured to the chassis by, for example ,a bolt, rivet or similar means (not shown).
In order for the craft to hover ducted fans 4 and ducted fan 5 will be driven by an engine 6 similtanious -ly, lifting the craft 1 off the ground a metre or so, the power of the ducted fans 4 and ducted fan 5 will be controlled by the black box 8. The craft will be propel -led along by a smaller ducted fan 3 , to prevent def or -mation of the ducted fans 4 and ducted fan 5 landing s -kis 7 have been added. Landing skis 7 are an extention of the frame 2
