Abstract

232,751. Holworthy, H. F. March 24, 1924. Drying-ovens. - A foldable and portable drying- oven for domestic use comprises hollow rear and front walls, side walls having battens a<1> for supporting the rails d upon which articles are suspended, a top having an adjustable ventilator 4, and a metal grid 6 surmounted by a perforated sheet of asbestos beneath which the heater is arranged. The walls are hingedly or otherwise connected, and the top and grid are hinged to a side wall and provided with dowels or catches for engagement with the opposite side. A conical ring 10 surrounding a baffle plate 11 may be provided on the grid when a gas burner is employed for heating the cabinet. Hooks may be provided in the oven for supporting baskets of small articles, such as collars. In a modification, the side walls are each formed in two parts hinged at the centre.
