Abstract

A spout for a container made from card may be pulled out to an operative position eg by means of a cord and returned to a closed position in which it is retained by cooperating pins and sockets on the spout and container.

Description

FEDORAK SPOUT ONE MARK II AND CONTAINER This description relates to an eco - friendly, no plastic,design to open a container ( for example milk cartons) . The design essentially comprises the fine detail that may be present on a container made of card ( in this example ) but may be of any size or shape and made of any material.
It consists of a seal, consisting of a scored line maintained, in this example, by a card cord. This cord may or may not be partially or totally wrapped in cellophane and may or may not have tags.
A A " ( made from any material, in this example card, is a horizontal piece of material with two semi - cicular ( or any shape ) mid - points that house " B " ( attatched to the container at the apex of the spout portion ) sheilds the perforated / scored / cord area and is connected to the container by means of " B " sockets (female ) and C" pins, in this example made of card, ( male ), "B and "C" may however be reversed. " A " is removed from shielding the perforated / scored / cord area by unplugging the pins, " C " ( female ) from " B ( male ) and the cord removed, the perforations teared and a spout produced. A " being folded over the spout which is a polygon ( made of any material and of any shape in this example a triangle ) the lip of which and the production of which enables " A " to be folded over / attatched to the apex of - as in the " " Open " diagram it ).
The contents are accessed by means of the spout and the spout is pushed back so as to flatten the portion and " A " is folded back into its original shape when the container is closed and re -joined to the container by means of " B" and " C ", thus shielding the area previously sealed and hence producing a partial air - tight seal. To gain access to the contents again the process is reversed until exhaustion.
