Abstract

A container such as a carton has a spout which may be opened by tearing along perforations eg by pulling a cord.

Description

FEDORAK SPOUT ONE AND CONTAINER This is a spout that can be applied to a container where the remaining contents may be, though not always as the contents may be exhausted straight after or soon after opening, needed to be stored because the contents have not been exhausted.
The design essentially comprises the fine detail but the application covers the container as well ( which may be made of any material and of any shape and size ). The design may be part of a box, tin / can or any other container. In this example, other diagramatic representations are also provided, the design is on a milk carton made of card.
It consists of a seal, consisting of a scored line , maintained by a card cord ( for example only ). This card cord is , for example covered partially in cellophane , and may or may not have tags ( in this case to direct the opening ). Removal of the cord tears the perforations and produces a mouth / opening that allows the spout portion to be produced.
The spout portion may be rectangular, semi - circular or any other polygon. It is , in this example, made of double thickness card . In the example shown it is triangular in shape with two side gussets and three side creases. When the cord is pulled it is possible to pull out the portion to form a spout.
When the contents have been accessed pushing the spout flat flattens the portion and creates a partial seal.
To re - gain access to the contents the spout is pulled out again.
