Abstract
231,663. Jones, A. G. H. Oct. 24, 1924. Reflectors; mounting reflectors on lamp casings.-A vehicle lamp reflector R constructed entirely of pottery is made by shaping or casting it from clay in a mould or on a thrower's wheel and turning it to produce a dished or concave inner surface a which is fired, glazed, again fired, coated with a liquid bright platinum or metallic lustre, and again fired to produce a silvery reflecting surface. The reflector has a central hole a<1> for a lamp-holder to pass through, and cut-away portions a<3> on the flange a<2> are adapted to pass over internal projections on the lamp body L so that, upon partly rotating the reflector, the. flange engages behind the projections and the reflector is held in position by projections on a wire spring b bearing against the annular recess a<4>.
