Head-sets.-For adjusting the distance between the ear-pieces a pair of levers a is connected to the head-band e at three points of which the relative position is controlled by adjusting means associated with the central connection. In one construction, Fig. 1, each lever a, of sheet aluminium or aluminium alloy, stamped or pressed, with one or more longitudinal ribs b, carries at its outer end a pin c to which is pivoted a sheetmetal link d slidable on the band e, and its inner end is bent around a straight part of a wire loop f slidable on a screwed stud g. This stud is formed with a flat head h bearing on the band e, and a sheet-metal link j pivoted to the head h is slidable on the band. A milled nut k is provided for adjusting the loop f along the stud g. In a modification. Fig. 1, of the central connection, the link j i is replaced by a sheet-metal strip l, Fig. 5, passed under the band e, bent around the rectangular head of the stud and secured by a nut o. According to the Provisional Specification, the band e may pass through a slot formed in the rectangular head of the stud g, and the outed end of each lever a may be formed with a T-slot into which the wires of the head-band may be sprung.
