Abstract

A drinks container comprises a can 7 which is divided into two compartments 3A 3B by an internal wall 2. The top wall has two tear open sections 5A 5B each giving access to one compartment. These can be opened by a single ring pull 6 which is pivotable about its rivet 4. Thus of only half the contents of the whole can are consumed the other half will not go flat, as in conventional cans.

Description

MULTIPLE DRINKS CONTAINER This invention relates to a multiple drinks container.
The tin/aluminium can is very well-known as a single drink container, with a 'use once only' method of opening.
These containers, once opened, have to be completely drained otherwise any remaining contents will go 'flat'. The containers are also limited to holding only one flavour or type of drink.
My idea is a standard shape can with an internal vertical divider separating two liquids.
Access to the both compartments can be achieved independently using the one ring-pull mechanism which swivels on a central rivet.
A specific embodiment of the idea will now be described by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Shows the can with internal divider and two chambers.
Figure 2.
Shows the access points, ring mechanism and rivet. Referring to the drawing, in this example the fixed partition 2 creates two separate chambers 3A and 3B inside a can 7 of conventional exterior shape.
The view of the top of the container shows the ring mechanism 6 secured by a central rivet 4 and both the access points 5A and 5B. The ring 6 is first used for access to one of the chambers 3A, 3B.
When iis is empty the ring 6 is then turned on ffie rivet 4 to face the remaining access point SA or SB ready for use at a convenient time.

1. A single container with sealed separate drinks compartments.
2. Access to all compartments by way of a single multi-use ring mechanism.
