231,366. Shakespeare, H. T. July 9, 1924. Fittings, internal. Means for shielding or concealing nuts, particularly applicable to those disposed on the interior surface of a uniform-case, trunk, wardrobe, or the like, consists of a pair of flanged cap members of which one a, Fig. 3, is perforated to take over the bolt d underrneath the nut e to be concealed, and the other b which is made a tight push-on fit, is fitted over the flange of the first. Fig. 4 shows a modified construction in which the first member is slit to form a number of resilient tongues g displaced outwardly at or about the middle of their length; either a plain cap member as described above or one having an internal groove h as shown in Fig. 4 may be used in connection therewith. The second cap member b is preferably slightly convex, as shown in Fig. 3. The members may be modified so as to cover a pair of nuts arranged close together.
