Description

Motor Handling Device This invention relates to making the manual handling of a motorcycle easier and safer.
The difficulty in msnouvering a motorcycle manually arises from the weight, up to 350kg, and its limited turning circle with the front wheel.
Other devices than this are available, yet they are a) too large and impracticle, and b) unstable and only suitable for certain motorcycles.
This invention allows easy and safe manual handling of any motorcycle, without dismounting, and total freedom of movement of the rear wheel in any direction.
According to the present design there are seven main components; a) the carraige, incorporating a stop, b) the cradle which accomodates the motorcycle wheel c) the ramp which enables access onto the device and d) four castors/wheels which are fastened to the carraige.
A variety of materials may be used and suitable load bearing castors conforming to British and European standards.

Claims (4)

1. A Motorcycle Manual Handling Device including a cradle to accomodate the vehicle wheel, a hinged ramp to enable the vehicle wheel to be placed in the cradle and removes the need to anchor the device to the floor.
2. A device as claimed in Claim 1 which is suspended on castors to enable movement in any direction.
3. A device as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 where the hinged ramp may be raised and locked into place thus restricting the vehicle wheel from coming out of the cradle.
4. A device as claimed in any preceeding claim which is made from metal or plastics material or a combination ofthese materials.
