[Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] A wheeled truck 5 adapted to form a seating for a vehicle wheel, is provided with a pivoted ramp 12 having a rigid arm 14 projecting beyond the pivot 15 with its end 17 above a groove 18 in the bed of the truck when the ramp is on the ground, so that a vehicle wheel in riding up the ramp and on to the truck, depresses the end 17 thereby raising the ramp off the ground to enable the truck to be moved about on its wheels. The pivot 15 is seated in an open-topped recess 16 so that by further raising the ramp by hand, it may be entirely removed while the wheel is seated on the truck. The bed of the truck and the approach part 13 of the ramp are shaped to conform to the wheel periphery. The truck is supported on four wheels 6 in yokes 9 rotatable about vertical pivots 10 in brackets 7 to allow of movement in any direction, ball bearings being provided. To facilitate removal from under the wheel, the truck may be longitudinally divided into two parts 5, 5a, connected at one end by a hinge 20 and normally held together by a hook 22 engaging a pin 23. The hook 22 is formed on the end of a lever 24 projecting beyond the side of the member 5a and secured by a pivoted catch 27. The device may be used to enable a vehicle with a punctured tyre to be driven to a garage &c. or all the wheels of a motor vehicle may be so supported to facilitate manipulation in a garage. The height of the bed may be regulated by liners.
