Abstract

A doll 1 incorporating a folding small house and formed of flexible material, comprises an internal body portion which is hollow and onto which is permanently attached a folding cloth (2, Figure 2) with a shape such that upon unfolding it rearward it forms, with the help of a supporting frame 6, 7, a small house inside of which, and attached to one of the walls, is located the doll itself in a sitting position. The cloth forming the small house is kept folded inside the body of the doll by means of a closing zipper installed around the rear part of said body of the doll. The small house may be provided with means of entry, and with areas simulating windows and decoration.

Description

DOLL WITH INCORPORATED FOLDING SMALL HOUSE The present invention is related to a doll incorporating a folding small house, its basic feature being that the doll's body is hollow and that inside it is lodged a cloth folded and attached through one of its sides to the body of the doll, being held therein by means of a zipper and in such a manner that the opening of the zipper allows for the small house in the form of a tent to be unfolded and assembled, being kept in assembled condition by means of bars coupled to one another to form the frame of the small house.
Thus, the object of the invention is to provide a doll that, at a given moment and whenever the user so wishes, can unfold an internal portion thereof, said portion forming a small house in which the doll is permanently located, being attached to one of the walls, the child or user having access inside the small house when unfolded and assembled - The doll is flexible1 with a zipper running along its rear part being provided as a means of closing the doll's body to keep the cloth forming the small house in folded condition. The cloth portion defined by the zipper forms the rear part of the doll's body in its recovered or folded position, whereas when unfolded and forming the small house said portion defined by the zipper is part of one of the walls of said small house, the doll being attached to the inner side of another of said walls along the area consisting of the back or rear portion of said doll's body.
The small house, once formed, has an area that provides access inside the house, said access area being either open or formed by parts that sweep open like a door.
Furthermore, it may be said that the cloth forming the small house may be provided with areas simulating windows, in addition to any other type of decoration simulating the various parts or components of a conventional small toy house.
To complement the description set forth hereunder and in order to help in providing a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a more detailed description is given based on a set of drawings attached to this specification wherein the following is represented merely within an orientating, non-limiting character: Figure 1 shows a rear view of the doll.
Figure 2 shows a rear view of the same doll, with an initial unfolding of the cloth for forming the small house.
Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the unfolded and assembled house, with the doll inside it, and sweeping portions which form the entry doors.
Figure 4 shows a view of the interior of the small house with the doll, revealing details of the doll's position, of the portion defined by the zipper and of the assembly bars.
Finally, Figure 5 is a side detail showing the manner in which the doll is attached from behind to a portion or a wall of the small house.
In said drawings, the numerical references are as follows: 1 - Doll.
2 - Folding/unfolding cloth for forming the small house.
3 - Closing zipper for keeping the cloth (2) folded.
4 - Rear part defined by the zipper (3).
5 - Small house.
6 - Assembly bars.
7 - Bar (7) couplers.
8 - Rear area which attaches the doll to the wall (9) of the small house (5).
9 - Wall of the little house onto which the doll (1) is permanently attached.
10 - Portions or wings which form the entry door to the small house (5).
As can be seen from the drawings under reference, the inventive doll (1), which is of a flexible nature and may be formed of cloth or similar materials, is special in that inside the body a cloth (2) is folded which may be unfolded through the rear end and is kept in its folded position by means of a zipper (3) running along the rear part of the doll's (1) body, said zipper defining the portion (4) of the back which entirely holds the cloth (2) assembly inside the body.
The cloth (2), when unfolded, forms a small house (5) assembled by means of a frame formed by a series of bars (6) coupled to each other via couplers (7), so that the bars and couplers establish the intersecting edges of the walls, as well as the sloping upper portion, etc., of the small house.
When the small house (5) is assembled, as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5, the doll (1) is attached, through its rear part (8), to one of the walls (9) of the small house, said rear part (8) being the portion though which the cloth (2) of the small house is permanently adhered to the doll (1) itself, which is in a sitting position.
Concerning the rear part (4) defined by the zipper (3), it also is permanently attached to the cloth (2) of the small house (5), the frame thereof being part of another wall of the small house (5).
Regarding the shape and size of the small house, any shape and size are allowed provided the cloth (2) can be folded and contained inside the doll's (1) body by means of the closed zipper (3). The small house may be fitted with wings or portions (9) for forming the entry doors, said doors being provided with closure means or arranged in the form of curtains.
Finally, the cloth (2), when unfolded or assembling the small house (5), is positioned outside the frame formed by the bars (6) and couplers (7).

Claims (4)

1. A doll incorporating a folding small house and formed of flexible material such as cloth, characterized essentially in that the inner part of its body is hollow, onto which part is permanently attached a folding cloth of a shape such that its unfolding rearward forms, with the help of a supporting frame, a small house wherein the doll itself is located in a sitting position and attached to one of the walls, said small house being provided with a means of entry, namely sweeping portions or doors fitted with adequate closure means.
2. A doll incorporating a folding small house, according to claim 1, characterized in that the cloth forming the small house is kept folded inside the body of the doll by means of a closing zipper installed around the rear part of said doll's body, said rear part being defined by the zipper that is permanently attached to the cloth forming the small house, so that on forming the house, the wall that is a part of said section defined by the zipper is different from the wall onto which the doll is attached.
3. A doll incorporating a folding small house, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the supporting frame designed to keep the small house assembled is formed by a series of bars coupled to each other by inserting them into intersecting couplers, with the feature that the cloth is positioned outside the frame when assembled.
4. A doll substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
