Abstract

230,726. Pieper, A. F. Jan. 23, 1924, [Convention date]. Spittoons.-A trap consisting of a partly perforated vessel 37 and a spout 30 suspended in it rests on shoulders in the outlet of the basin 20. A funnel 32 directs liquids into the trap. A baffle 40 is fixed across the lower end of the spout 30. The basin rests in a socket piece 21 which is retained in a hub 18 carried by a hollow arm 5. An inclined flushing channel is formed round the basin, and in order that the basin may be correctly positioned relatively to the flushing nozzle carried by the arm 8, a dowel pin 27 and holes therefor are provided.
