Flooring blocks are interlocked by means of tongues d inserted in the ends of grooves b, which are provided in the longitudinal sides of the blocks only and form extensions of mastic-receiving rebates c. The rebates may be of V-form, and the two tongues h<1>, projecting from the ends of the blocks, may be formed in a single piece, as shown in Fig. 5, and of sheet metal. Dowel straps may also be provided at intervals along the sides. Specification 499/15 is referred to.
