Abstract
A wet suit includes fins either strapped on or integral with the suit, formed in such a manner that they lie along the limbs until the limb is moved backwards, whereupon the fin opens out to provide propulsion.
Description
f HE DOLPHIN WET SUIT.
Technical Fieid.
The Dolphin Wet Suit is designed to effect
maximum ad natural all round unhindered
movement of the human body in an aquatic
environment.
Background. Presently under water divers utilise flippers
attached to their feet for propulsion. This limits / both the power and the capacity to move about the
bodies center of gravity and is also a hindrance to
stability with static work. (e.g. Undersea work on
oil rigs.) The Dolphin Wet Suit provides fins along the limbs,
leaving the feet free whilst allowing the bodies
natural movement to harmonize with the fluid
environment.
Claims (7)
- Essential Technical Features. The invention has two possibilities in that the fins can either strapped on, or the fins ae integral to the wet suit having a built in 'memory' to lay along the limbs, only opening to function with the body. These features are explained diagrammatically with the attached illustrations.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows CLAIMS 1. The Dolphin Wet Suit is especially adapted to accommodate the human body to an aquatic environment
- 2 For this purpose the fins are built into the wall of the suit lateral to the limbs.
- 3 This allows the wearer to put on a 'skin' which immediately metamorphosis's them from the terrestrial to the aquatic mode.
- 4 The positioning along with the built in memory of the fins is in harmony with the normal mode of human motion on land.
- 5 There is no cumbersome hindrance to manoeuvrability.
- 6 The acting area of fin surface is over 2100 sq cms, considerably more than existing swimming fins.
- 7 All these factors cater for stability in minuscule movement as well as greater overall expansive mobility. The aqua naught can stand walk or swim The hands and feet are free Stability in the hazardous depths for example, under oil rigs, is ensured.
