Abstract

A tongs-like device for picking up animal droppings includes shovel jaws 1 attached to respective parts of a spring handle 3 which are held together by a hinge pin 4. A spring (5) is mounted on the pin 4 so that the jaws 1 call be opened against the spring bias by squeezing together the upper ends of the spring handle 3, using one hand only, and closed by releasing them. The device may be produced in plastic or metal.

Description

DESCRIPTION EASY PICK SHOVEL Easy pick shovel is invented to pick up the droppings of pets like dogs and cats and other animals. When walking a pet a conscientious owner does not want the pet to leave excrement or droppings either in public lane , footpaths or on some one else's property.
Many owners will carry paper towels and plastic bags so they can bend over and pick up the pet's dropping to take home for disposal. This is tiring and very messy.
Easy pick shovel is designed specifically for picking up pet droppings with one handed operation. It allows a pets owner to clean up after his or her pet, especially when walking on some one else's property or public footpaths or public property.

Claims (6)

1. Easy pick shovel operates by mean of squeezing together "spring handle" 3 (requiring one hand only).
2. Easy pick shovel as claimed in Claim 1 opens "shovel jaws" 1 by squeezing together "spring handle" 3.
3. Easy pick shovel as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 close "shovel jaw" 1 by releasing "spring handle" 3.
4. Easy pick shovel as claimed in Claim 1, 2 and 3 is held together by means of "hinged pin" 4.
5. Easy pick shovel as claimed in Claim 1, 2, 3 and 4 operates by one hand with "double shovel" head 2 held together, by means of hinged pin 4. And the "spring" 5 fixed on hinged pin 4.
6. Easy pick shovel as claimed in Claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, is fully described herein with reference to Fig 1 and Fig 2 of the accompanying drawing.
