Abstract
229,963. Villers, L. Aug. 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Blocking. - In a hat-blocking machine the male and female moulds between which the hat is placed are each detachably mounted on a ring secured in the machine, the mounting being such as to permit adjustment of the inclination of the moulds. As shown, the male mould 3 is provided with yokes 8 pivotally mounted on the mould and adapted to be secured by pins 9 to the flat ends of screws 6 mounted in a ring 1 and adjustable by thumb nuts 7. A similar ring carries the female mould, and the rings are secured, respectively, to the fixed and moving parts of the machine. A pair of moulds 3 is provided for each shape and size of hat to be blocked.
