Abstract
Manufactured from 1 mm flat rolled stainless steel 100 mm X 40 mm refer to drawing fig 1, fig 2 and fig 3. When placed inside the electric jug it improves the water quality by preventing lime scum and floating white spots, by neutralising the micro form particles of lime in water causing them to sink to the bottom of the jug to form a sediment which can easily be flushed away daily. The invention attracts the micro lime particles to form a lime film which should be removed by wiping or brushing occasionally. The invention does not descale.
Description
ELECTRIC JUG WATER CLEANER
Background.
The quality of water varies considerably in the UK. This is mainly due to the lime content, some areas having a higher lime content than others. It is this lime content that creates lime scale build up in electric jugs. The lime in micro form is in suspension in water, when water is boiled as when in electric jugs, the heat from the electric element brings about a partial separation of the micro lime particles and they join forming and creating a lime scale build up to the electric element and the inside walls of the jug. A proportion of the micro lime particles float, and when the jug is switched off, they coagulate as the water cools and form into floating white spots and a flIm scum residue, both of which are very detrimental to the cosmetic appearance of cups of tea etc.
Specification.
The invention acts as lime neutraliser, which when placed in the electric jug, in a free standing position close to the electric heating element, and located below the jug spout, causes the lime in micro form to become inert and sink and coagulate in the bottom of the jug, thereby leaving the water free of floating white spots and lime film scum and no lime taste. The invention is made of flat rolled stainless steel and is highly polished with rounded corners, and free of any sharp edges, Refer to Fig 1 of drawing. The invention measures 100 mm x 40 mm x 1 mm thick Refer to Fig 1 Fig 2 Fig 3. The invention attracts micro lime particles to form a lime film and should be wiped or brushed clean occasionally. The jug should be flushed out daily. The invention does not stop lime scale forming.
Claims (3)
- ELECTRIC JUG WATER CLEANERCLAIMS 1. The electric jug water cleaner is manufactured in stainless steel with a polished finish, measuring 100 mm X 1 mm thick, refer to drawing fig 1 fig 2 fig 3. For the purpose of ensuring good quality water, when placed inside the electric jug.
- 2. The electric jug water cleaner as claimed in claim 1 thereby stops the formation of floating tea cup scum.
- 3. The electric jug water cleaner as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 thereby will stop the formation of floating white spots in the tea cup when making tea or other beverages.
