Abstract

229,734. Waete, A. de. Oct. 29, 1923. Emulsions, making.-In preparing a coating- composition for stencil sheets comprising a seaweed jelly such as agar-agar, Iceland moss, Irish moss, carragheen moss, or Japanese isinglass, the dispersion of the jelly is effected by utilizing the mechanical means described in Specification 228,247. An oily or waxy body, such as a light mineral oil, and a small quantity of glycerine, may be added as tempering agents. Emulsifying agents, inorganic materials such as Bentonite and pigments may also be added to the composition. Specifications 215,026 and 228.248, [both in Class 100 (ii), Printing processes &c.], also are referred to.
