Abstract

A mining pan handling device (1) for armoured face conveyors adapted to install or remove one such pans (13) to or from a mining face, which device comprises: a) a carrying frame (2, 4) supported movably by b) attachment means (5) adapted to connect the carrying frame to a mining transport vehicle; c) first support means (8A, 8B) connected to the carrying frame for insertion beneath or into an intermediate region in the structure of a pan or pans to support it or them from the bottom or intermediate region thereof; and d) second support means (9, 10A, 10B) connected to the carrying frame at a region distal from the first support means for insertion beneath or into an intermediate region in the structure of the pan or pans to support it or them from the bottom or intermediate region thereof. <IMAGE>
