Abstract
229,125. Foxwell, D. March 22, 1924. Folding longitudinally. - A creasing or crisping machine comprises an inverted triangular frame 6, 7, 8 or table arranged with its apex 6 in close proximity to the creasing-rollers 4, automatic guide means 23 such as are described in Specification 14878/08 arranged to act on the parts of the cloth nearest the selvages where the cloth passes from the sides of the frame, and anti-friction surfaces on the sides of the frame to reduce the effort necessary to move the cloth laterallv on the table. The anti-friction surface may be produced by polished sides of a frame having a low coefficient of friction, or by forming the sides 7 as rollers mounted on ball bearings. The point 6 is stationary and is formed of hard polished material.
