Abstract

A light wall board structure which is able to bear the weight of an article hung thereon is composed of a mixture of particles of light foam material, hydrated cement, foaming agent and chemical adhesive, and at least one steel plate 32 punched with holes and disposed in the wall board structure. The steel plate and the mixture are precast into an integral board structure. The punched holes of the steel board permit screws or other fasteners to he secured therein so as to provide a bearing force for an article hung on the wall board structure. The steel plate may be planar with punched circular holes, or corrugated. <IMAGE>

Description

A LIGHT WALL BOARD STRUCTURE -CAPABLE OF BEARING WEIGHT OF AN ARTICLE HUNG THEREON The present invention relates to a light wall board structure which is able to bear the weight of an article hung thereon1 and more particularly to a light wall board structure reinforced by a steel plate disposed therein and punched with holes.
Please refer to Figs. 1 and 1A which show a conventional light wall board 10 composed of light mixture 12 of hydrated cement, foaming agent and chemical adhesive, and steel reinforcements 11 reinforcing the mixture 12. The steel reinforcements 11 are used to increase the bending-resistance of the wall board 10, while the structural strength of the wall board 10 is still insufficient to bearing the weight of an article hung on the wall board.
Figs. 2 and 2A show another conventional light wall board 20 which is a sandwich-like precast laminated board structure composed of two outer layers of fiber cement thin boards 21 and an inner layer of mixture 22 of loose foam polymer particles or foam pumice particles and foam hydrated cement. The stuctural strength of such wall board 20 is still insufficient to bearing the weight of an article hung on the wall board.
weight.
It is therefore necessary to provide a light wall board which has sufficient structural strength and is able to bear the weight of an article hung thereon.
It is a primary object of the present invention to provide a light wall board structure which is able to bear the weight of an article hung thereon.
The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional light wall board; Fig. 1A is a sectional view taken on line lA-lA of Fig. 1; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a conventional sandwich-like precast laminated light wall board; Fig. 2A is a sectional view taken on line 2A-2A of Fig. 2; Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a first embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 4 is a sectional view taken on line 4-4 of Fig. 3; Fig. 5 is a front view of the punched steel plate of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 6 is a sectional view of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 7 is a perspective view of the punched steel plate of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention;; Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of a third preferred embodiment of the present invention; and Fig 9 is a cross-sectional view of a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Please refer to Figs. 3, 4 and 5. The light wall board 30 of the present invention is composed of a mixture 31 of particles of foam material, hydrated cement, foaming agent and chemical adhesive, and a steel plate 32 which is bending-resistant and compressionresistant and disposed in a central portion of the wall board 30. The steel plate 32 and the mixture 31 are precast into an integral board structure. As shown in Fig. 5, the steel plate 32 is a plane plate and punched with multiple circular holes 33. The edges of the steel plate 32 are punched with multiple semicircular holes 34. The multiple holes 33 and 34 serve to communicate the mixture 31 disposed on two sides of the steel plate 32 and thus more firmly bind the mixture 31 and the steel plate 32. It should be noted that the holes 33 and 34 can be otherwise shaped to achieve the same object.
Please refer to Fig. 6 which shows a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, wherein the steel plate 35 disposed in the wall board 37 is waved. As shown in Fig. 7, multiple circular holes 36 are punched on lateral surfaces of the waved steel plate 35. Similarly, the holes 36 can be otherwise shaped.
Please refer to Figs. 8 and 9 which show a third and a fourth preferred embodiments of the present invention, wherein at least two steel plates 32, 35- are integrally disposed in the wall boards 38, 39 and spaced by a certain distance.
According to the above arrangements, the present invention has the following advantages: 1. The steel plate punched with circular holes or otherwise shaped holes serves to increase the bendingresistance and compression-resistance of the light wall board. Moreover, after punched with the holes, the steel plate has reduced weight and the mixture disposed on two sides of the steel plate are communicated to more firmly bind the steel plate for forming a more integrated structure.
2. The conventional light wall board can hardly bear the weight of an article hung thereon. In contrast therewith, the punched steel plate of the present invention permits a screw or a fastener to be firmly secured in the hole of the steel board so as to bear a heavy article hung on the wall board.
3. The holes can be previously punched on the steel plate according to specific requirements of a user and the light wall board can be directly covered by facial boards such as gypsum board, cement board or decorative board by means of securing screws in the punched holes of the steel board without installing a support frame.
In conclusion, the light wall board structure is reinforced by steel plate punched with holes. Therefore, the bending-resistance and compression-resistance of the wall board are increased. Moreover, a screw can be secured in the punched hole of the steel plate to provide a bearing force for an article hung on the wall board.
The above preferred embodiments are only examples of the present invention and the scope of the present invention should not be limited to these examples. Any modification or variation derived from these examples should fall within the scope of the present invention.
