Description
Dust-extractina arranaement and filter baa for a hand-operated machine tool
Prior art
The starting point of the invention is a dust-extracting arrangement, a filter bag and an insufflation pipe connection of the kind described in Claims 1, 7, 9 and 13.
DE-OS 39 06 371 makes known a dust-extracting arrangement of this kind in which, although the filter bag can be very securely coupled to the insufflation pipe connection on the hand-operated machine tool, the insufflation aperture in the uncoupled, dust-filled filter bags is either open or insufficiently sealable.
Because of this, when the filter bag is uncoupled from the insufflation pipe connection for removal or waste-disposal purposes, fine dust, in particular, passes into the surrounding air and impairs the quality thereof. This leads to high consequential costs, because air quality, particularly in the workplace, has an extremely strong influence on sickness costs. It is therefore becoming more and more important to prevent the formation of dust in the workplace.
Advantages of the invention
By contrast, the dust-extracting arrangement according to the invention, or rather the insufflation pipe connection having the characterizing features of Claims 1 to 7 and the filter bag according to the invention having the characterizing features of Claims 8 and 13, have the advantage that the connection between the hand-operated machine tool and the filter bag is particularly unsusceptible to shocks, secured against loss and dust-tight and that the escape of shavings or dust when the filter bag is removed is almost impossible.
Further advantageous developments of the invention will emerge from the subordinate claims.
Drawings
An example embodiment of the invention is explained in greater detail in the following description, with the aid of the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows an illustration, in perspective, of a filter bag according to the invention, Figure 2 shows a view of the filter bag from the front and Figure 3 shows, in lateral section, an illustration of the filter bag according to the invention, coupled to a dust-extracting pipe connection.
Description of the example embodiment
The filter bag 10 shown in Figure 1 has an elongated shape.
At its front end, it carries a reinforcing panel 11 made of cardboard. In the middle of the reinforcing panel 11, there can be seen the rim 12 of an insufflation aperture 13 which matches the oval cross section of an insufflation pipe connection which is not illustrated here but will be commented on below in connection with Figure 3.
The insufflation aperture 13 is masked by an elastic sealing panel 14. The sealing panel 14 has a central slit 15 which divides the sealing panel 14 into two lips 16, 17 which are closely juxtaposed in a force-locking manner. The slit 15 terminates, at each end, in a small circular cut-out portion 18, 19, which cut-out portions prevent tearing of the ends of the slit 15 when the sealing panel 14 is spread apart by an insufflation pipe connection. On its upper, flat side, the filter bag 10 carries a flap 20 for the introduction of a strip-like holder 37 which will be commented on below in connection with Figure 3, can be attached to the insufflation pipe connection and secures the filter bag 10 against creasing and against hanging down from the insufflation pipe connection.
Figure 2 shows a plan view of the reinforcing panel 11 shown in Figure 1, with the rim 12 of the insufflation aperture 13 and the sealing panel 14 with the lips 16,17 divided by the slit 15. The slit 15 terminates in a small, circular cut-out portion 18, 19 at each end.
Figure 3 shows an illustration, in lateral cross section, of the filter bag 10 shown in Figures 1 and 2, coupled to an insufflation pipe connection 30 on a hand-operated machine tool 31. By means of a fan 32, of which only a part is shown, swarf drawn off by suction from the workpiece is conveyed through an extraction aperture 33 in a grinding disc, which is not described in any greater detail, and on through the duct 34 in the insufflation pipe connection 30 into the filter bag 10. The filter bag 10 is coupled to the insufflation pipe connection 30 in such a way that, with the rim 12 of the insufflation aperture 13, the reinforcing panel 11 encompasses, in a flush-fitting manner, a first bead 35 which is close to the machine and the diameter of which is of a size such that it cannot pass in through the insufflation aperture 13. A second bead 36 of smaller external diameter, which is disposed at an axial distance from the bead 35, passes in through the insufflation aperture 13 and is supported on the lips 16, 17, which engage around it in a sealing manner.
In addition, a strip-like, angled holder 37, which is disposed on the insufflation pipe connection 30, engages in the flap 20 on the filter bag 10. This holder secures the filter bag 10 against creasing and against hanging down from the insufflation pipe connection 30, with axial displaceability of the flap 2.0 in relation to the holder 37.
As a result of this arrangement, the filter bag 10 is secured on the insufflation pipe connection 30 extremely stably, nontiltably and non-rotatably in both a force-locking and a formlocking manner.
If the filter bag 10 is drawn off the insufflation pipe connection 30, the lips 16, 17 close together tightly again to form a slit 15 so that, during the disposal of the full filter bag 10, no dust or shavings can pass out of the insufflation aperture 13.
This ensures improved air quality and freedom from dust in the workplace during the use or disposal of the corresponding dust-extracting arrangement according to the invention.
In the case of an example embodiment of the invention of which no illustration is included, the reinforcing panel is detachably fastened to the filter bag, for example with a
Velcro-type closure and, after the removal of a full filter bag, can be re-used repeatedly on filter bags without a reinforcing panel.
It is understood that the filter bag can also be used for vacuum cleaners or the like.
