Abstract
228,017. Fuller, E. A. Feb. 8, 1924. Film evaporators. -Yeast &c. is fed into the space between, and adheres to the surfaces of, two oppositely rotating drums which are heated internally by gas burners e. The dried yeast is removed from the drums by scrapers f and falls into conveyer troughs h. In a modification, the drums are formed with steam jackets, the steam being generated by spraying water into the jacket space.
