Abstract

When the vehicle brake pedal is subjected to heavy pressure, a switch is operated causing warning lights, such as the normal hazard warning flashing lights to be activated. <IMAGE>

Description

PANIC ACTIVATED WARNING SYSTEM At this moment in time, with vehicles getting faster and faster.
Yet drivers of vehicles insist on driving closer and closer.
You don't need a great deal of imagination to see what could happen.
When you see a vehicle braking in front, you don't know how hard it is breaking.
So you don't resond to the potential hazard.
My consept is designed to redress this problem.
I have designed a switch which is atached to the braking system. It is activated when the brake pedal is depressed harshly. The action of depressing the brake harshly activates a switch which in turn activates the hazard warning lights.
(In principle this system could be atached to any part of external lighting system).
It is common knowledge that when driving have to brake harshly. They tend too keep both hands on the steering wheel, until they are out of the initial danger. It is at this time that good driver put on their hazard warning lights too warn oncoming traffic. They would have lost vital seconds, and sometime may be too late.

Claims (1)

  1. Panic Activated Warning System
Claims 1, The Panic Activated Warning System is an electro-mechanical device. By means of the driver using the brake pedal to activate the system. The panic activated warning system comprises of four main components these being : the brake pedal, electrical switch, switch relay and indicators 2, The Panic Activated Warning System as claimed in 1, wherein the electrical switch is located on an adjustable mounting to aid fine adjustment of the switch. This switch is located at the bottom of the brake pedals travel.
3, The Panic Activated Warning System as claimed in 1 or claim 2 wherein. Once the switch is located correctly.
When the driver depresss the brake pedal fully the electrical circuit is opened.
    24. The Panic Activated Warning System as claimed in 3 wherein. Once the circuit is open the switch relay emits intermittent voltage to the indicators.
5, The Panic Activated Warning System substantially discribed herein with referance to figures A1-A2 of the accompanying drawings.
