Abstract

A toy consists of a grooved stick 1 with a propeller 3 pinned to one end. When the grooves 2 are rubbed with a separate stick 5 the vibrations make the propeller spin. <IMAGE>

Description

FRICTION STICK This invention relates to a toy.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which ;- Figure 1 shows the stick from side view and the separate rubbing stick.
Referring to the drawing the stick 1 comprises of a length of rounded wood approximately 12" in length and 2t diameter. It has evenly spaced grooves 2 cut into the centre section of the stick. At the tip of the stick there is a propeller 3 secured vertically by a pin 4.
The operator then holds the opposite end ofthe stick and using a separate rubbing stick 5 which is approximately 5" long and 5 diameter and rubs backwards and forwards along the grooves making the propeller spin.

Claims (2)

1. A friction toy comprising of a grooved stick with a propeller pinned at one end and a separate rubbing stick.
2. A friction toy as claimed in claim 1 wherein when the grooves are rubbed with a separate stick the vibrations make the propeller spin.
