Abstract

A neck-tie has constantly spaced button holes centrally placed at both ends on its reverse face. This enables both ends of the tie to be fastened securely by way of the buttons on the user's shirt. Thus, the tie is secure without the use of any artificial and unnecessary accessory, eg a tie-pin. <IMAGE>

Description

SECURE TIE This invention relates to a neck-tie.
Nach-ties are well-known items of clothing, comprising of several pieces of cloth stitehed together to form a required shape of pre-determined length. The tie is secured around the neck in the form of a knot, with the two ends of the neck-tie @anging together ,loosely, vertically downwards from the knot.
Since the two ends of the neck-tie are unsecured, they are clumsy and prone to accident and therefore damage.
According to the present invention there is provided a neck-tie comprising several button holes at both ends on the reverse face. Since the length of neck-ties vary, the number of holes depends purely on the length of tie. The spacing between each button hole is constant. When the neck-tie is tied, the two ends can now be securely fastened to the user's shirt by passing one or more of the shirt buttons through the corresponding hole at each end of the neck-tie.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying in which: Figure 1 shows the reverse face of the necktie.
Figure 2 shows the neck-tie alongside a shirt.
with reference to the diagrams, the neck-ties comprise button holes which are situated centrally at both ends of the neck-tie on the reverse face.
Figure 2 illustrates that not every button hole will be matched with a button on the user's shirt. Hole 1 and Hole 5 have no corresponding button. Hole 2 is matched by button 7; Hole 3 by button 8; Hole 4 by button 9; and Hole 6 by button 10.
To secure the tie, tie it around the neck in the normal fashion, then place one or norse buttons from the shirt through it's corresponding hole at each end of the tie.
