Abstract
225,667. Fiederer, O., and Morgenstern, F. Oct. 12, 1923. Moulding paper articles.- Articles such as boxes, picture-frames, &c. are formed by winding paper, with or without adhesive, into rolls or rings and submitting such rolls or rings in a moulding press to strong pressure exerted upon the edges. For example, a ring c, Fig. 4, is formed upon a mandrel b and is transferred to a press e, Fig. 6, and subjected to pressure by a plunger d in such a manner that the layers are bent to a herring-bone cross-section, as shown. The application to picture frames is described.
