Description
AN IMPROVED GARBAGE CAN
The present invention relates to a garbage can, and more particularly to a garbage can designed with facilities permitting a continuous replenishment of new garbage bags.
We always line a garbage can with a garbage bag for convenience of disposing the garbage as well as keeping the garbage can clean. However, we all know that we have to line the garbage can again with a new garbage bag each time when we have disposed of the filled garbage bag. The household chore as such is not something that we all enjoy doing.
Therefore, what is needed is an improved garbage can that gives a solution to the problems which were, in part, brought about by the prior art garbage can.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved garbage can having facilities to store and replenish new garbage bags for replacing the disposed ones.
In keeping with the principles of the present invention, the primary objective of the invention is accomplished by an improved garbage can comprising a can body having a bottom board with a container of predetermined shape disposed thereon for receiving a roller-type plastic bag. The container comprises a top board with an elongated slot located centrally and axially therein for permitting the plastic bags to be pulled out therefrom. A hole of predetermined shape is made at a predetermined position of a lateral board of the garbage can body for permitting the roller-type plastic bags to be inserted into the container. The lateral board has an indentation of a predetermined shape located above the upper rim of the hole of predetermined shape for facilitating the set up of a roller-type plastic bags which provide the convenience of a continuous replenishment of new garbage bags replacing the disposed ones.
FIG. 1 shows a partially exploded view of the first embodiment of the invention and a partial cut-away view of the structures of the interior of the garbage can body of the invention.
FIG. 2 shows a schematic view of the structures of a roller-type plastic bags according to the present invention.
FIG. 3 shows a schematic view of the arranged roller-type plastic bags at work according to the present invention.
FIG. 4 shows a schematic view of the present invention in use.
FIG. 5 shows a three-dimensional view of the second embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 6 shows a three-dimensional view of the third embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 7 shows a three-dimensional view of the fourth embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, the garbage can 10 embodied in the present invention is shown comprising a rectangular can body 20 having a bottom board 21 with a container 22 disposed thereon. The container 22 is of square shape in crosssection thereof and has a top board 221 with an elongated slot 222 located centrally and axially therein. Located at the middle of the bottom section of the lateral board 23 of the can body 20 is a square hole 231, which is positioned correspondingly to the container 22. The size of square hole 231 is equal to that of the cross-section of the container 22. Located above the center of the upper rim of the square hole 231 is an indentation 232 of a predetermined height, which is positioned correspondingly to the elongated slot 222. A bore 233 is made on the lateral board 23 at the position above the indentation 232.
A covering board 24 of rectangular shape is fastened to the lateral board 23 at the position, where the square hole 231 is located, by means of a riveting element 242 traversing the through hole 241 of the covering board 24 and the bore 233 of the lateral board 23. The covering board 24 is arranged in a manner that it can be freely rotated for 360 degrees, with the riveting element 242 serving as an axial center.
The application of the present invention is to be coordinated with the roller-type plastic garbage bags, as shown in FIG. 2. The roller-type plastic garbage bag 30 comprises a series of predetermined number of plastic bags rolled over a cylindrical roller axis. Located at the space between two adjacent bags are a seam 32 and a perforation line 33.
Now referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the covering board 24 is shown being displaced so as to permit the first plastic bag 34 to be pulled out slightly to let the upper end of the first plastic bag 34 to traverse the indentation 232 located above the square hole 231. As a result, the roller-type plastic garbage bag 30 is well received in the container 22, and the upper end of the first plastic bag 34 is exposed over the elongated slot 222. Therefore, the first plastic bag 34 can now be easily pulled up, with upper end portion thereof being spread over the rim of the garbage can 10. When the filled plastic bag 34 is lifted, the second plastic bag is subsequent pulled out and can be easily detached from the filled first plastic bag 34 by tearing forcefully along the perforation line 33. Thus second plastic bag is ready to be used.
Now referring to FIG. 5 showing the second embodiment of the present invention, a garbage can 40 is shown comprising a container 41 with three-quarter profile thereof being made circular. In addition, the container 41 can be mounted to the extreme left corner or the extreme right corner of the bottom board 51 of the garbage can body 50, as shown in FIG. 6.
As shown in FIG. 7, the garbage can 60 comprises a bottom board 61 which has first container 62 and second container 63 disposed thereon for disposing the sorted garbages. Additionally, one of these two containers 62 and 63 can be used to store strings for use in packaging the garbage bags.
The embodiments of the present invention described above are to be considered in all respects as merely illustrations of principles of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is to be limited only by the scope of the hereinafter appended claims.
