Abstract
A water disperser for an automobile mirror comprises a forward facing air inlet which funnels air to a jet B where it is directed across the surface of the mirror D to clear the mirror of rainwater. By re-directing the flow of air when the vehicle is travelling forward, the raindrops are pushed in a downwards direction leaving the mirror free of raindrops. The process will also dry the surface after water has been dispersed and will also aid the removal and prevention of condensation. <IMAGE>
Description
Title WATER DISPERSING AUTOMOBILE WING MIRROR
What is it
This device will clear automobile wing mirrors of rain drops that presently render wing mirrors ineffective during, or even after rainfall. It will aid the safety of motorists, especially during darkness and particularly on motorways. It can be applied to all vehicles capable of exceeding 20 mph.
How it works
The water on the glass is dispersed by means of air being pushed across the glass in a downward direction. This process will push water globules downwards and an accumulative process will take place. Once large amounts of water have been removed, the air will then dry the glass surface. The air required is taken from the atmosphere through an inlet hole at the front of the existing plastic housing that encases the mirror. Using the funnel method the air is compressed into a small pipe, and dispersed onto the glass. The faster the vehicle travels the greater the force of air becomes and the faster the process works.
