Description

[PANEL A ] IMPROVED VISIBILITY SPIRIT LEVEL This invention relates to a spirit level with improved visibility of a levelling source.
Spirit levels are well known as devices (tools) used for achieving horizontal, vertical or other levels.
Satisfactory readings (accuracy) from a spirit level relate to the visibility of the levelling source ie. worse visibility - worse accuracy.
According to the present invention there is provided an improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit level combined with light providing sources such as 1) Electrical light devices, 2) Set of mirrors, 3) Luminescent light sources.
A specified embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of examples with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 shows in cross-section the improved visibility spirit level combined with an electrical light source.
Figure 2 shows in cross-section the improved visibility spirit level combined with a set of mirrors.
Figure 3 shows in cross-section the improved visibility spirit level combined with a luminescent levelling liquid (spirit).
Figure 4 shows in cross-section the improved visibility spirit level combined with fluorescent light sources surrounding the levelling vial.
PANEL [B] Referring to the drawing in Fig. 1 the improved visibility spirit level comprises of a spirit levelling device and an electrical light source in a specified place, for example: a bulb 2 or similar means (not shown).
The light from the right direction enables better visibility of a levelling indicator which is the air bubble in a closed vial 1.
The levelling indicator may be lit by means of an optic fibre(s) (not shown).
Referring to the drawing in Fig. 2, the improved visibility spirit level comprises of a spirit levelling device and a set of mirrors 3 in a specified place, for example : one mirror or more than one.
The light from different directions is diverted by mirrors towards the levelling device and this enables better visibility of a levelling indicator.
Referring to the drawing in Fig. 3, the improved visibility spirit level comprises of a spirit levelling device containing a mixture of spirit and luminescent additive(s) 4 to enable better visibility of an air bubble (level indicator).
Referring to the drawing in Fig. 4, the improved visibility spirit level comprises of a spirit levelling device and a luminescent light source(s) 5 specifically surrounding the levelling vial.

    CLAIMS 1. An improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit levelling device and electrical light source(s).
  2. 2. An improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit levelling device and light transferring device(s).
  3. 3. An improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit levelling device and a set of mirrors.
  4. 4. An improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit levelling device which contains a luminescent levelling liquid (spirit).
  5. 5. An improved visibility spirit level comprising of a spirit levelling device and luminescent light source(s).
  6. 6. Improved visibility spirit levels substantially described herein with reference to Figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawing.
