Reinforced concrete. - An expanded metal structure suitable for reinforcing concrete roads &c. comprises two flat sheets 1, 2 of expanded metal separated or spaced apart by an intermediate sheet 3 of corrugated expanded metal, the two flat sheets having a mesh of the same size, while the mesh of the intermediate sheet is so much larger that when this sheet is corrugated and assembled between the two flat sheets the junctions of its mesh coincide with the junctions of the meshes of the flat sheets. Wires 5 are twisted around the junctions 4 or the connection may be by welding. Any number of flat sheets may be employed and spaced apart by intermediate corrugated sheets.
