Abstract

A safety razor comprises a convexly curved head, the curved cutting edge being capable of following hollows in the skin being shaved. There may be two blades and the head may be hinged to the handle. <IMAGE>

Description

CONVEX, CURVED SAFETY RAZORS The basic problem is that the human face is not flat with even, regular surfaces.
It has the capability of presenting valleys and other concave areas, with the beard sometimes growing in directions which prevent a conventional safety razor getting low or near enough to give a satisfactory finish.
By curving the Bladed Head of the Razor a small amount, a greater arexof skin would be shaved closer, with much less facial pulling and pouting, achieving a closer, more comfortable finish in considerably less time.
The average Razor is approximately 50 m/m long, and a depth of curvature of approximately 10 m/m measured midway, would be sufficient to achieve the desired result of a quick close and comfortable shave.

Claims (2)

claims
1. A Convex Curved Safety Razor which will present to the skin/beard a cutting edge(s) much closer to the skin through being convex in curvature and able to follow the valleys and hollows upon the surface of the skin when being drawn against the beard stem's direction of growth.
2. A hinge may or may not be included to assist in allowing the handle to maintain a steady angle whilst following the undulations of the face.
