Description

THE STRUCTURE OF FOLDING DINNER PLATE USED AT THE BACK VEHICLE SEAT This invention relates to a foldable dinner plate or tray mnuntable on the back of a vehicle seat.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION You may face the situation that the car is going, however; the meal has to be had, especially when the whole family was on the trip. For example, it is very tough to drive to the restarea stop for meal, if the car is still on the superhighway, but the meal time is coming; or you met the traffic jam on holiday. Again time for eating, a lot of circumstances happen: such as suddenly raining out of the car, the air and the surroundings won't allow eating out side, eating on board is the only choice this moment, more ver; the kids can not bear waiting a long time, when they have to eat. Therefore it is quite often when happen to children's meal time while you're driving on the road.
Besides; when lunch box is opened, the car is trembling, the parents have difficult time in feeding the children, once the drink is opened, it will bother you if you don't finish the drink with no place for locating.
Although there is a kind of meal plate which can be fixed on the steering wheel in a car (as figure 7), many shortages occurred failed to meet the practical requirements of customers, as our comments: First; the meal plate was fixed on the steering wheel, so it can be used only when the car is stationary.
Second: the meal plate won't provide enough space for feeding children but driver and adults, because it was fixed on the steering wheel.
Third; This meal plate can not be positioned by folding and attached to the steering wheel, so it occupies more space if you own the kind of meal plate.
Fourth; this meal plate does not offer other functions to meet the demand of practical value.
Realizing these truth, inventor put very much attention on innovating new structure through constant investigation and experiments to develop a kind of practical meal plate assembly which works a better job and will meet the requirements of customers thoroughly, that is the motive of claim patent.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION This is an assembly of multipurpose meal plate which is constructed by a main plate, a subordinate plate and a pair of pinned combining unit, through this assembly structure installed on the reat-back of car can form to be a meal table, a cup catcher, and a book shelf, etc. For duty off, this assembly can be easily recovered by folding, saving space, filleup practical value with remarkable characteristics.

Figure 8 shows the invention fitted on the pillow shaft at the back of vehicle seat. the subordinate and main plates form an right angle with the seat.
Figure 9 is the diagram of fruit and books putting on the main plate in the condition of Fig. 8.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Please refer to Fig. 1. Basically, the structure of the invention comprises of a set of main and subordinate plates (1) (2). Along with two sets of connecting shaft (3) (4) and a seat pillow saddle (10) wherein, between the main and subordinate plates, hinges is installed at both edges for folding, that is, there are two folding mechanism (5) (6) or hinges/bolts of the same function equipped on both edges near the end of the back of the main plate, there are two bulging square inserting pivots (1) (2) to maintain a suitable plate (1) so that the connecting shaft sets (3) (4) can be inserted. At the bottom of the subordinate plate, there are two sockets (21) (22) to fix the two " U " shape elastic steel rings (7) (8). (the size and circumference of the two two " U " shape elastic steel rings are designed to hold materials 'of the same size as normal 12 fl/oz can or cups as shown in Fig. 2 and 7). And the two connecting shaft sets (3) (4) are designed in block shape (31) (311) and (41)(411) and each of them is connected by a curved connecting rod (32) (42). On the sides of the blocks (31) (311) (41) (411),there are holes (33) (331) (43) (431) for the insertion of pivot (11) (12) (101) (102) which are a little bit bigger that pivots (11) (12).And on the top of block (311) (411)and the sides of blocks (31) (41), there are screw holes (35) (351) (45) (451) to fix pivots (11) (12) (101) (102) with adjustment and fixing screws (36) (361) (46) (461) And on the top of block (31) (41), there are aperture (37)(47) whose circumferences are a little bit bigger than that of the inserting bar groove (100) for the insertion of inserting plate (9) installed at the seat pillow saddle (10); and there are two rectangular pivots (101)(102) bulging out from both edges of the rectangular groove (100), and its contact face with the inserting plate (9) is equipped with several fixing screws (103) to fix the seat pillow saddle (10) on the inserting plate (9). For operations of the invention, see Fig. 3, 4.At normal situation, the main and subordinate plates (1) (2) and the connecting shaft sets (3) (4) can be folded up and installed at the vehicle seat seat saddle (10) inserted in the inserting plate (8) at the back of the vehicle seat to be parallel to the seat back ( as shown in Fig. 3, to accomplish the installation, connect the main plates (1) and the'seat pillow saddle with the block pivots (11) (12) (101) (102) and turn the screws (36) (361) (46) (461) into the holes (33) (331) (43) (431) to fix it.) so that the main and subordinate plates can stick on the back of vehicle seat and waste no space. When use, loosen the four fixing screws (36) (361) (46) (461) of the block pivot (31) (311) (41) (411) hold the main and subordinate plates (1) (2) and turn upwardly to 90 degrees, than tighten the four fixing screws (36) (361) (46) (461), and the plates will be perpendicular to the seat back to form a " table " as shown in Fig. 5. Besides, to form a book holder, fold up the subordinate plate (2) to make it perpendicular to the main plate (1) and put a book on it as shown in Fig 6 and I. If one wants to put a can or cup of drinks on it, simply pull out the ' U " shape elastic steel rings (7) (8) and put drinks on it ( or fruits ) as shown in Fig 7. After using it, fold it up as the previous method shows. And if the inserting rods of the pillow are not plate (9) form but bar(91) form, seat pillow saddle (10) can not be used and one can simply insert the pillow bars (91) (92) into the holes (37) (47) on top of the socket (31) to accomplish the installation. If the distances between inserting bars (91) (92) is not the same, adjust the connecting rod (11)(12) of the connecting shaft (3) (4); and if it is still not wide enough, adjust the curved connecting rods (32)(42) to obtain the most favorite adjustment.
From the above description, the aim of the invention is to provide a kind of plate fitted at the back of vehicle seat that can be used as table, cup holder and book holder, ... etc. and that it is convenient to fold up and does not waste space.
