Abstract

223,828. Hendrickson, J. C., and Hendrickson, T. M. April 28, 1924. Paper-supports.-A platen roller is provided with a skeleton core consisting of bars 1 connected to end plates 2 and an intermediate strut 3. The core is preferably an aluminium casting. The bars may have spurs 4 for retaining the covering. A suitable covering consists of a sleeve 5 of cork or other light resilient material, a soft rubber or felt sleeve 6, an aluminium or zinc sleeve 7, and an outer sleeve 8.
