Cores.-In slotted rotor stampings, particularly those for cast aluminium rotors, indentations 3 are formed in the material between the outer ends of the slots 2 and the periphery of of the stampings, mainly to prevent buckling of the stampings due to stretching in the said material during the punching of the slots.
