Abstract

The satellite reception window 1 is a panel that appears transparent to satellite transmission frequencies. The satellite reception window is mounted in the roof 2 or walls (6), Fig. 2, of a building 3 to enable the satellite receiving dish 5 to be mounted inside the building and still receive the required signals from the satellite transmitter 4. A heating element may be incorporated in the window to prevent build up of snow and ice. <IMAGE>

Description

SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A WINDOW THAT IS TRANSPARENT TO SATELLITE TRANSMISSION FREQUENCIES.
THE END RESULT OF THE USE OF THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW, IS TO ENABLE A SATELLITE RECEIVING DISH OR SIMILAR, TO BE MOUNTED WITHIN THE THE OUTER SHELL OF A BUILDING, USUALLY BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE LOFT SPACE, AND RECEIVE THE REQUIRED SIGNALS FROM THE SATELLITE TRANSMITTER VIA THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW.
IF A SATELLITE DISH WAS TO BE POSITIONED WITHIN THE SHELL OF A BUILDING, WITH ANY OF THE CONVENTIONAL BUILDING MATERIALS, SUCH AS SLATE, TILE, BRICK, WOOD OR GLASS, IN THE LINE OF SITE BETWEEN THE SATELLITE TRANSNITTER AND THE SATELLITE RECEIVING DISH, THE RECEPTION OF THE TRANSMITTED SIGNALS WOULD BE LOST OR SERIOUSLY IMPAIRED, IN THE CASE OF SATELLITE TELEVISION TRANSMITIONS, THE RECEIVED SIGNALS WOULD RESULT IN A PICTURE THAT WOULD BE EXTREAMLY POOR OR NON EXISTANT,AND THE BUILD UP OF ANY SNOW ON THE SHELL OF THE BUILDING, IN THE LINE OF SIGHT FROM THE SATELLITE TRANSMITTER TO THE SATELLITE RECEIVER WOULD DIMINISH THE RECEIVED SIGNALS EVEN FURTHER.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW IS MADE OF A MATERIAL SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO FOLYSTYRENE, PLASTIC, ACRILIC OR A SIMILAR MATERIAL THAT IS TRANSPARENT TC SATELLITE TRANSMISSION FREQUENCIES.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW CAN BE INCORPORATED IN THE SHELL OF A BUILDING AT CONSTRUCTION, OR CAN BE INSTALLED INTO AN EXISTING BUILDING, REPLACING THE CONVENTIONAL BUILDING MATERIALS.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW CAN REPLACE ANY PART OF THE SHELL OF THE BUILDING IN PART OR IN WHOLE SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ROOF, WALLS OR GABLE END.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW CAN BE CONSTRUCTED IN ANY COLOUR TO BLEND It; WITH IT' S SURROUNDINGS, AND CAN BE CONSTRUCTED BY BUT NOT LIMITED TO VACUUMS MOULDING, AND CAN BE USED AS A FLAT SHEET OR MOULDED TO MATCH IT' S SURROUNDINGS SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO SLATES, TILES, BRICKS, PANTILES, WOOD OR CONCRETE.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW WILL BE MANUFACTURED WITH A HEATING ELEMENT INCORPORATED IN THE MATERIAL USED FOR MANUFACTURE, AND THE ELEMENT CAN BE SWITCHED ON AND OFF MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY SO AS TO STOF THE BUILD U OF SNOW.
THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW CAN BE CONTRUCTED IN ONE PIECE SO AS TO REPLACE 1 OR MORE OF THE CONVENTIONAL BUILDING MATERIALS SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO SLATES, BRICKS, TILES AS SHOWN IN FIGURES 5 , 4 AND 5

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1 A SATELLITE WINDOW 1, CORRECTLY POSITIONED IN THE ROOF 2, OF A BUILDING 3, IS SATISFACTORALY TRANSPARENT TO THE TRANSMITIONS FROM A SATELLITE TRANSMITTER 4, TO THE SATELLITE RECEIVER 5, POSITIONED WITHIN THE THE SHELL OF THE BUILDING AS IN FIGURE 1.
  2. 2 A SATELLITE WINDOW 1, AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1, CORRECTLY POSITIONED IEs THE WALL 6, OF A BUILDING 3, IS SATISFACTORALY TRANSPARENT TO THE TRANSMITIONS FROM A SATELLITE TRANSMITTER 4, TO THE SATELLITE RECEIVER 5, POSITIONED WITHIN THE SHELL OF THE BUILDING AS IN FIGURE 2.
  3. 3 A SATELLITE WINDOW POSITIONED AS IN CLAIM 1 OR CLAIM 2, WILL ENABLE ALL EXISTIN-G SUILDINGS, AND ALL BUILDINGS YET TO BE CONSRUCTED, TO SUCCESFULLY RECEIVE SATELLITE TRANSMITIONS, FROM A SATELLITE TRANSMITTER OUTSIDE THE SHELL OF A BUILDING, BY A SATELLITE RECEIVE WITHIN THE SHELL OF THE SAME BUILDING. PROVIDING THERE IS NO OTHER OBJECT BLOCKING THE LINE OF SITE FROM THE TRANSMITTER TO THE RECEIVER 4 A HEATING ELEMENT INCORPORATED IN THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW r.~ i.
CLAIM. AND CLAIM 2 AND CLAIM 3, WOULD PREVENT THE BUILD Ur OF SExOW ON THE SATELLITE RECEPTION WINDOW, THUS PREVENTING IMPAIRED RECEF TI ON OF THE DESIRED SIGNAL
