Description

----::, _ -,-1. (A (t) 1.
REINFORCED-CONCRETE GUTTER ELEb2ENT The present invention relates to a reinforcedconcrete gutter element.
According to the document DE-A-2,347j8691 an elongated concrete gutter element has been described which consists, in a single piece. of a bottom and two f acing sides whose upper rims are arranged so as to support, respectively, the two edges of a closing plate which is also elongated, for example a grid. This element comprises, on the one hand, two visible, elongated metal strengtheners bearing against the two upper rims, respectively.. so as to support the two edges. respectively, of the closing plate. A metal structure enables the static load which is to be supported by the gutter element to be distributed over the inner surface of the latter and for this purpose has a plurality of hoops distributed along the length of the gutter, each having a profile matching the crosssection of the gutter, and fastened to the abovementioned inner surface. The two ends of a same hoop are fixed to the two metal strengtheners respectively.
Such elements have a relatively limited load strength. The object of the present invention is therefore to improve this strength.
According to the present invention, in a general manner, the closing plate is fixed, at its two edges. to the two metal strengtheners rospectively, by fixing means arranged in twos, or in a pair. on either side of the said plate, and distributed regularly along the length Of the said gutter element.
Sy way of the invention, at the level of a pair of fixing means, and in the corresponding transverse plane, a hooping of the gutter element ús obtained, incorporating the grid element between the said fixing means. These ho. opings are repeated along the length of the gutter element at the level of the various pairs of identical fixing means. in sum, a gutter element then results whose load strength is substantially boosted.
In particular, such a hooping limits or prevents the inward or outward spacing of the sides of the gutter 1 is under the influence of a load. This spacing is no longer dependent on the resistance provided from outside by the backf ill or the material into which the gutter element is inserted.
to a preferred embodiment of the invention. a plurality of-metal fixing sleeves is distributed along each elongated metal strengthener, and each sleeve-extends perpendicular to the said strengthener. in the concrete of the corresponding side of the -gutter.. providing a hole opening onto the visible face of the corresponding strengthener. Each open hole has, in terms of height, two sections, namely a first section.close to the visible surface which is threaded internally 'or arrangedin order to interact with a fixing screw of the closing plate, and a second section at a distance from the visible surface receiving the free end of a leg of a hoop of the reinforcement or metal structure. The two legs of a hoop of the reinforcement are fixed respectively in the two fixing sleeves of a same pair.
This embodiment provides the following particular advantages.
on the one hand it simplifies the production of a gutter element to the extent that, with a same piece, namely a sleeve integral with the strengthener, both a hoop of the reinforcement and the closing element or grid may be fixed.
On the other hand. it enables the reinforcement to be produced accurately and repeatedly, the predetermined arrangement of the sleeves fixing the position of the hoops of the reinforcement relative to the strengthener.
The present invention is now described- with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 shows diagrammatically, in an exploded perspective view, a gutter element according to the present inventi on equipped with a closing plate of the grid type - P1gure 2.shows a.side view of a gutter element according to Figure 1, from the side of the male fitting profile of the gutter element . - Figure 3 shows a view in vertical cross-s ection:along the-plane of section III-III in Figure i of a gutter element according to the invention assembled with a closing plate of the grid type.
reinforced-concrete gutter element according to the present'lnventioi is, in a general manner, elongated along a straight line-and has a predetermined length. It has a one-piece form as it is obtained by a single mould casting.
It comprises a bottom la and two sides lb and lc upright relative to the bottom and facing each other. The upper rims 1d and le of -the sides 1b and lc, respectively, are arranged as a shoulder for supporting the two edges 10d, 10e respectively, of a closing plate 10 which is also elongated along the same straight line, for exanple a grid. To this end, and with reference to Figure 3, taking only the support shoulder ld, the latter has a projecting upwardly outer rib 2, and a transverse lower flat surface 3 on the inner side of the gutter element; the rib 2 and the f lat surface 3 are oriented relative to each other substantially at right angles. The support shoulder le has exactly the same shape, and the shoulders ld and le therefore oppose each other. ' The two upper rims ld and le are provided..
respectively, with two metal Strengtheners 4 and - 5 which are elongated in the direction of the gutter and are visible. These two strengtheners serve to support the two edges 10d,-10e respectively, of the closing plate 10 of the gutter. Each metal strengthener 4 or 5 bears against a-support shoulder 1d or le, respectively, and has c6= respondingly and chiefly the -shape of an angled piece whose two f langes 4a and 4b bear against the rib 2 and the flat surface 3, respectivelyi of the same shoulder; consequently, the flanges 4a and 4b are therefore arranged substantially at right angles, as shown moreover in Figure 3. Each metal strengthener 4 or 5 has an extension towards the outside of the gutter, composed of a flange. for example 4c arranged flat against the upper 1 is face of the rib 2, and of a turned-back piece, for example 4d, protecting the upper and outer part of the same rib 2. Each metal strengthener 4 or 5 also has an extension towards the inside of the gutter, for example 4e r surrounding. and protecting that part of the inner face of each side, for example lb, adjacent to the support shoulder 3.
The _reinforcement or strengthening metal structure is embedded in the concrete of the gutter element during the moulding. This reinforcement, designated in a generic manner by the reference numeral 6, has a plurality of hoop s 7 distributed along the length of the gutter. Each hoop 7 has a profile matching the crosssection of the gutter. for example in a U-shape. Each hoop 7 is arranged in a transverse plane substantially perpendicular to the gutter. The two ends 7a and 7b of a same hoop are fixed to the two metal strengtheners 4 and 5, respectively, by the means described hereinbelow.
A plurality of metal fixing sleeves 11 is distributed along each elongated metal strengthener. Each sleeve 11 extends perpendicular to a strengthener 4 or 5, and to be more precise to the part 4b or 5b of the angled piece in the concrete of the corresponding side 1b or lc of the guter-. Each sleeve 11, in the form of a metal tube attached by welding opposite a corresponding hole of the part 4b or 5b, provides a hole opening onto the visible face of the stren gthener 4. This open hole has, in terms of height, two sections (cf. Fig.-3), namely a first section 11a close to the visible surface. with an internal screw thread in order to interact with a fixing screw 12 of the closing plate 10, and a second section 11b at a distance from the same visible surf ace receiving the free end. for example 7a, of a leg of a hoop, which end is welded to the section llb. As shown in Figure 1, the two legs 7a, 7b of a same hoop 7 are fixed, respectively, in the two sleeves 11 of a same pair.
According to the above description, a metal sleeve 11, and to be more precise the first section Ila of its open hole. and a corresponding screw 12 together m 1 is 1 form a fixing means for the closing grid or plate 10. As shown in Figure 1, these fixing means 11a112 are arranged in twos, and consequently in a pair, on either side of the plate 10 so as to fix the latter, at its two edges 10b and. 10e. to the two strengtheners 4 and 5, respectively. These fixing means are furthermore distributed regularly, still in pairs, along the length of the gutter element. one pair of-fixing means 11a/12 corresponds to one hoop 7 of the reinforcement, substantially in a same transverse and vertical plane. Each fixing means identified above is connectedt by way of the second section llb of the open hole. to the free end 7a or 7b of a leg of a hoop of the reinforcement 6. --- Each support shoulder ld or le is arranged inside, in other words on the side of the channel defined by the gutter, and beneath the upper visible plane of the same gutter; "upper visible plane" is understood to mean the imaginary. substantially plane and horizontal surface defined by the two edges of the two ribs 2 and is in practice the plane in which the upper face of the closing element 10 is situated.
As represented in Figure 1. each gutte3 element may. have two fr-ont face of diferent types, enabling adjacent elements to be assembled with each other and fitted into each other. To this end, a same element has, on one of these front faces. a male fitting profile 15 and on the other front face a corresponding female profile 16. As -shown in]igure 1.. the male profile consists of an inner rib 17 having a profile matching the crosssection of the gutterg for example in a U-shape; this rib is followed towards the outside by a chamfer 18. In a corresponding manner, the female profile 16 consists of an outer rib 19 having. in cross-section, a profile adapted to that of the chamfer 18 and followed towards the inside by a recess having a profile, in cross-section, adapted to that of the rib 17. Equivalently, each angled piece 4 or 5 is scalloped, towards the outside on the side of the male profile and towards the inside on the side of the female profile.
